IT was a busy April of marathons for Pershore Plum Plodders Running Club. 

Eighteen members tackled the competitions for various reasons and goals.

David James, 74, completed the Newport Marathon and Joyce Morrison, 71, did the London Marathon.

Blind runner Lee Greatbatch completed the Newport Marathon guided by Steve Bradley.

Suzanne Price did Rome, Brighton and Newport, Ian Hannis successfully tackled Manchester, Brighton and London and Ann Hewlett completed Paris and Newport.

Julie Herbert did the London Marathon for Worldwide Cancer Research and raised £2,642.35.

Alex Day completed the London Marathon for VICTA and collected £1,885.25.

Ian Pollitt did the London Marathon for Parkinsons and raised £1,250.

Matt Price and Keris Gurney ran Brighton Marathon and collected £4,324 for St Richard's Hospice.
