THE Burford Chamber Choir present a concert at St Nicholas Church in Oddington, near Moreton, on Sunday, July 12, from 7pm. The concert is in two parts; before the interval it will consist of church music, folk, show and sea songs, while after the interval it will be music from the musical Oklahoma. THE Millers Arms in Pershore will be the venue for a performance by Jess and Paul Cody on Saturday evening. The musicians, who call themselves Purple Clown, will be playing Irish folk along with hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s. The gig at the historic pub on Bridge Street starts at 8pm and is free. Last Saturday, Worcestershire singer songwriter Will Killeen entertained drinkers at the pub. Landlord Fred Perry said: “We have a full calendar of music this year.”

AN accomplished musician who plays a range of instruments will perform at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury on Saturday. Julie Fowlis sings in Scottish Gaelic and tours the world, bringing ancient songs from the Hebridean Islands to new audiences.
