EVESHAM cycling talent Aimee Lane rode one of her best races to date in the West Midlands Closed Circuit Championships.
Competing at Stourport and hosted by Wyre Forest, the St Egwin’s Middle School pupil took the lead from the start and rode strongly.
Lane, 13, outpaced other strong under 14s girls to finish first in her age category with team-mate Kinga Ingram second.
The Vale girl’s younger brother Harry, who attends Swan Lane First School, has improved in three races from last place to eighth out of 15 boys.
