OVERBURY Bowling Club A triples team recorded an eighth successive victory with a 51-40 success at Pershore A in the Men’s South Worcestershire Triples League.
After very hot and humid conditions, the weather was much more bearable and the green had some character building lines on one rink which made for difficult play.
With the lead swinging from one team to the other, Overbury eventually closed it out for an 11-shot triumph.
Overbury’s captain Stuart Yapp said: “The league table is looking good with one more game to go to end the first half of the triples season.”
Overbury A top the league with 70 points and are 13 points up on last season’s total after eight matches.
