ROUNDHEADS will turn heads in Worcester this weekend when a historic city landmark becomes the setting for a civil war revival.
The Commandery is hosting two days of events commemorating the final battle of the English Civil War on September 3, 1651 - when the Parliamentarians defeated the Royalists.
The story of the Battle of Worcester was brought back to life at the Sidbury museum today and tomorrow, ahead of the 362nd anniversary of the conflict.
Members of the Battle of Worcester Society and Discover History will recreate scenes from the day, including pike drill demonstrations and a musketteers firing display.
Characters from the period will also be on hand to reveal the truth behind 17th Century life, while visitors can see a surgeon from the era put his skills to the test.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm both days and normal Commandery admission applies.
