First published in Local

MUSIC-lovers can look forward to an evening of Russian music at an independent school near Chipping Norton.

The Hermitage Ensemble from St Petersburg is performing at Kingham HIll School' chapel on Thursday, May 15 at 7.30pm.

This is the third visit by the choir, whose first performance at the school in 2012 attracted music lovers from across the region.

The members of this small choir are all professional musicians who perform regularly at Orthodox churches across Russia, as well as on the operatic stage and with the Philharmonic Orchestra in St Petersburg.

It has already achieved success throughout Europe and further afield in Australia and America following an extensive touring schedule and copies of the choir’s latest CD will be available to buy on the night.

Tickets are £10 and are available in advance by calling 01608 731 880 or email or at the door on the night.
