IT’S been a relatively quiet January, so I have left my round up for the end of the month. Firstly, Happy New Year to you all – 2015 is a big year for Evesham and we each have a role to play.
At the beginning of January I was invited to attend the opening of the new hall at St Andrews School, Hampton. We were treated to a special concert and then a guided tour. This was the first phase of a few and I look forward to seeing the completed project. On Saturday, January 24, I held a Burns Breakfast in the Town Hall and despite a power failure, we ably delivered a top-notch breakfast with added haggis on the side. We were helped all morning by Dianne Bennett from Caring Hands in the Vale. They were also the sole beneficiary of all the funds raised and in total we were able to donate £180 to them. Lastly yesterday, Tuesday 26, I attended the Older Peoples Forum Spring Social, where we were treated to songs from the past and lots of splendid food. It was a pleasure to spend an afternoon with them and much more fun than being sat in the office.
