A DRIVER was airlifted to hospital after a crash on the A429 Fosseway in Gloucestershire.
A blue Ford Mondeo driven by a 44-year-old man from Leicestershire crashed with a white Mercedes Sprinter van driven by a 56-year-old woman from Derbyshire causing the busy road to close.
The accident happened around 8.40am on Sunday January 7 near Moreton-in-Marsh.
The Mondeo driver was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, by helicopter. He had life-threatening injuries.
Both the driver and passenger in the van were also injured.
An ambulance took them by road to Warwick Hospital.
The road was shut for several hours after the crash, re-opening in the afternoon.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the crash.
