WARWICKSHIRE police and crime commissioner Philip Seccombe has announced his intention to appoint Robert Tromans as his deputy.
Mr Tromans, who is councillor on Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, is set to take up the role on a part-time basis, serving with the
office of the police and crime commissioner three days a week.
The appointment is subject to an appearance before a confirmation hearing held by the Warwickshire Police and Crime Panel, scheduled for Tuesday July 24.
Pending the outcome of the hearing, Mr Tromans is expected to take up his new role in August.
Mr Tromans has served as a school governor, is a long-time youth sport volunteer and is also a strong advocate for Neighbourhood Watch as a member and former scheme co-ordinator.
