AN artist who was voted best designer in the region will open a new gallery.

Award-winning milliner, Lisa von Hallwyl, has been announced as the third and final artist to be part of the launch of Beckford Silk’s new gallery.

She will have her work exhibited in the gallery alongside that of artist Antonia Black and potter Toff Milway.

Having been voted the best designer in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire 2017, Lisa von Hallwyl Millinery has created pieces for celebrities and royal events. Her work has also been featured in a number of couture magazines, including Vogue, Tatler and Bride.

Ms von Hallwyl said: “I was honoured to be asked to be part of the gallery launch. It’s a lovely compliment when your work is considered highly enough to be gallery-worthy.

“LVH Millinery has been working with Beckford Silk for around three years now and I’ve built up a good relationship with them – their silks compliment the brand extremely well.”

Beckford Silk, which is based in Beckford, near Tewkesbury, will be launching its new art gallery through the work of local artists and craftspeople in a bid to raise their profile and increase footfall.
