NORTH Cotswold residents are being urged to get their walking boots on for the annual Brailes Three Hills walk, which is being held on Bank Holiday Monday, May 2.

The annual event involves a six to seven mile walk over the three hills surrounding Brailes near Shipston.

Organisers say it is a very social occasion for all the family, which includes a BBQ on the slope of Brailes.

Last year about 1,000 people took part, raising £3,000 that was shared between Brailes Primary School and Brailes Pavilion.

The walks starts at Brailes Village Hall between 9am and 11.30am, finishing at the hall, where refreshments will be on sale.

The charge to take part is £3 for adults and £1 for children. Dogs have to be kept on a lead.
