TRAFFIC in Moreton came to a halt for nearly three hours last Wednesday afternoon when two cars collided on the A429 Fosseway at the northern outskirts of the town.
Both drivers were injured in the crash involving a Renault Clio and a VW Sharan, with the 32-year-old male driver of the VW, who was from Upper Rissington, being taken to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham by air ambulance. Although he had to be released from the wreckage by firefighters, his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
The driver of the Renault, a woman from Shipston, suffered a broken leg and collarbone and was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital. The Fosseway from the north was closed and diversions set up.
