PARENTS Esther Yates and Rachel Bloxham stepped into the breach when the village school in Longborough, near Moreton, lost its volunteer cook.
Esther and Rachel’s children attend Longborough Church of England Primary School, where they have volunteered to cook healthy and delicious meals for the pupils every Tuesday.
This was after the previous voluntary cook left when her daughter moved from Longborough Primary to secondary school.
Val Latham, Longborough Primary’s administrator, said: “Last week the children had toad in the hole with mash and vegetables, followed by fruit salad.
“What could be better, especially in this cold winter weather?
“We want Esther and Rachel to know how much we appreciate the time and effort they have put into this.”
