Production is under way on the third season of Clarkson's Farm with new pictures showing filming taking place near Diddly Squat Farm.

Amazon Prime confirmed in October last year that a third series was in the works but have not said when it will be released except that it will be in 2024.

In February Jeremy Clarkson tweeted that his 'rough guess' was that the show would return 18 months from then.

Cotswold Journal:

He later gave an update saying: 'We actually won't finish filming it till October."

Prime Video said the third series of the smash hit show will follow Jeremy, Lisa, Kaleb, Gerald, and Cheerful Charlie as they tap into the "currently unfarmed 513 acres of Diddly Squat’s 1,000 acres.. with vast stretches of thick woodland perfect for foraging, and untouched lakes bursting with possibilities".

As well as the returning cast, a few new characters will be welcomed to Diddly Squat, too, it said, but these are yet to be announced.

Jeremy said: “I’m genuinely thrilled that we are doing a third season of Clarkson’s Farm.

"I’ve had some great new ideas, all of which have made Charlie, Lisa and Kaleb deeply unhappy."

Kaleb Cooper also said he was excited to be filming the follow-up to Season 2 which aired this year.

He said: “I’m over the moon to be taking part again. Well, they do say third time’s a charm!

"Maybe this will be the series that Jeremy finally starts taking advice from a real farmer!”

While Jeremy's partner Lisa Hogan said: "It’s just grand to be already filming series three."

It’s being reported that Clarkson is currently in talks with Amazon over renewing the show for a fourth season, however nothing has been confirmed yet.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Clarkson’s Farm are available to watch on Prime Video
