A CHILD baking prodigy and entrepreneur has started selling his cakes in an Evesham cafe.

Thomas Harrison, owner of Thomas Makes Bakes, now sells his delicious treats in Brew Bear Coffee House on the high street.

The twelve-year-old had only set up his business two months ago and is already reaping the success of selling his coffee and walnut and butterscotch tray bakes to the cafe.

Thomas  has to balance his schooling and extracurricular curriculum activities with his business, which boasts all the necessary food safety certifications and follows food standard regulations and hygiene laws.

"It felt really exciting (for Brew Bear Coffee House to sell his tray bakes)," he said.

"It has inspired me to bake more, and my cakes are even on his menu."

He said that on the first day of Brew Bear Coffee stocking his cakes, it sold out, and people had even gone to social media to compliment him on how well they tasted.

Thomas  began his baking journey when he was three years old and has reached the last rounds in the audition process of Junior Bake Off twice.

"We are thrilled to work with Thomas Makes Bakes and Thomas Harrison," said Rob Robinson, Owner of Brew Bear Coffee House.

"Thomas's cakes are simply divine, and his professionalism is beyond his years. It's refreshing to see such dedication and talent in a young entrepreneur."

Mr Robinson added that it was a mutual appreciation for quality that led to collaboration, and Thomas' journey serves as a testament to the limitless possibilities of entrepreneurship, regardless of age.

Thomas's mother, Samantha, said she is extremely proud of her son's achievements and his commitment to the business.

"For him to achieve this level in food hygiene at a young age and learn Natasha's Law - it has been really good.

"I probably have about 5,000 pictures of him baking from a young age."

Thomas Makes Bakes takes orders Monday to Thursday.

Mr Harrison spends his weekend baking his orders, which then helps him fit the workload around his other schooling commitments.
