TEA connoisseurs everywhere should head to Winchcombe where they can enjoy the best cuppa' in the country.
The Tea Guild has awarded this years prestigious Top Tea Place to Juri's - The Old Bakery Tea Shoppe on Winchcombe High Street. The head of the group, Irene Gorman called Juri's a truly special tea experience' and a must' for all lovers of the hot beverage.
Juri's is run by Cordon Bleu trained Juri Miyawaki and is strongly influenced by her family's Japanese heritage. Her mother and father Iwao and Junko own the business and Juri said that she was thrilled and overwhelmed' to win the award.
Before awarding the top prize to Juri's, Tea Guild inspectors visited tea rooms and hotels across Britain to find the finest tea experience. The judges award points in fifteen different categories including the variety and quality of tea, efficiency, decor, hygiene and presentation skills.
