A ROYAL visitor was given a warm welcome as he enjoyed a concert in a Cotswold church.
HRH Prince Michael of Kent was among the audience as Trio Aria performed for a fifth occasion at Blockley Church, delighting concertgoers with a varied programme of operatic pieces and well-known tunes.
The Italian musicians, soprano Ilenia Lucci, flautist Rebecca Lewis Lalatta and pianist Carmine Colangeli, were joined for the performance by contralto Ann Walters and the Blockley Blokes Choir.
Blockley's vicar, Rev Canon Dana Delap, said the concert, organised by Gareth and Kathri Lewis, was a big success.
"HRH Prince Michael enjoyed both the music and the exhibition of Italian paintings by Broadway artist, Pink Harrison," she said. "The concert finished with Italian wines and appetisers and Trio Aria have promised to return next year for 'Le Dolce Musica VI'."
