DOG thieves have taken two 12-week-old puppies from a garden kennel in the Cotswold village of Forthampton.
The Collie-cross puppies were stolen between Thursday night and Friday morning from a property in Long Green.
Police say the puppies may still be in Gloucestershire and are appealing for witnesses to help them in their search.
PCSO Lisa Freeman said: "We are keen to locate these puppies as soon as possible and to identify the offender.
"Their owners are understandably incredibly upset and distressed at the theft, and want to ensure that the puppies are safe."
The dogs have identical markings but different colours, one is black and white while the other is brown and white.
Both dogs are microchipped and police are urging anyone with information to call 101 and quote the incident number 0113S.
UPDATE: The puppies have been found and reunited with their owners.
