THE classic tale of Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows, but with a few new additions, is being staged at the Victoria HGall, Bourton, from Wednesday September 9 to Saturday September 12.
Written by Lee Baddock and Chris Kirby, the staging is sure to delight with some elements of British pantomime encompassing the ageless quality of the book which reached number 16 on the BBC's Big Read survey.
The classic tale will be retold, complete with Toad's caravan, the stealing of a motor car and the battle for Toad Hall, but with a few new faces along the way.
It is the fourth production as director for Jan Close who wanted to create a light-hearted, fun show for all the family.
The literary favourite has been written in a panto style with a cast of 15 who all have a speaking part and who have all worked hard, along with the crew, to bring the production together.
The show opens 7.30pm each evening with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
The box office is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 12 noon for tickets which are £8 and £9.
