NAUNTON'S inaugural country market which takes place on Saturday May 30 has attracted more than 50 producers of food, beverages and craft work from within the Cotswolds.
The event, which runs from 10.30pm to 4pm will be held on the recreation ground.
“We’re delighted with the response we have got from local producers,” said event organiser, Vanessa Gatford. “We thought if we got 30 we would be doing well, but to get over 50 is very satisfying and shows there’s a real appetite for markets like this.”
The market has attracted a local micro brewery as well as fruit, vegetable, pie and cake producers and other edibles all from within the Cotswold area.
Additionally there are a number of craft stalls ranging from handmade jute bags to ceramics.
There will also be weaving and spinning demonstrations held during the day.
Children are catered for as well, with face painting and an amusement corner.
Refreshments including tea and cakes, a bar, ice cream and locally sourced burgers and hot dogs will be available throughout the day.
Entrance and parking is free.
