SCULPTURE and installation artist Angela Palmer is coming to Chipping Norton School on Monday April 27th as a guest of the science department.
She will be talking to 60 Sixth Form and Year 11 students about two of her recent exhibitions: Ghost Forest and Adrenalin.
For the Ghost Forest project 10 huge tree stumps with their roots intact were imported from the rainforests of Ghana to highlight the effects of deforestation. This exhibition has been shown in Trafalgar Square, outside the Danish Parliament, at the Pitt Rivers Museum and is currently at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.
For Adrenalin, Angela has explored the architecture, design and beauty of Formula One using a whole array of materials and technologies and one of the sculptures is a crystal helmet.
