A COMMUNITY interest company backed by West Oxfordshire District Council has launched a fixed price boiler scheme which is open to all householders in the district.

The new scheme supplies a high-rated energy-efficient gas boiler for £2,700, which includes installation by a qualified heating engineer.

Brad Hook from Green Homes Together which is launching the scheme said: “Replacing a boiler is expensive so it is important that households know what the costs are upfront. Anyone contacting Green Homes Together for assistance can be assured that they will be supplied with a top quality boiler and that it will be fitted by an installation company approved by us. Being hit with surprise repair bills is never welcome and so knowing exactly how much a new boiler will cost will take the uncertainty out of it.”

He added: “Boilers account for about 55 per cent of what householders spend in a year on energy bills, so an efficient boiler makes a big difference.”
