USEFUL information to combat winter woes is just a click of the mouse away.
This winter, residents in the Cotswolds can access information on the district council's website at www.cotswold.gov.uk/12124.aspx where advice is available from keeping warm, to weather warnings, potential travel disruptions, school closures, driving tips, flu vaccination and much more.
There is also a map showing winter gritting routes across the county, and a link to the county council’s ‘report a pothole’ service.
Commenting on the new webpage, CDC Cabinet Member for Emergency Planning Councillor Carole Topple said:
“It’s important that people should have quick and easy access to vital local and national information that will help them cope with any adverse weather conditions that they may encounter over the winter months. Based on past experience, we’ve put together information about the issues people usually enquire about when the weather deteriorates, and I very much hope that it will make life easier for anyone who might be affected.
“Anyone who wishes to obtain a hard copy of the information sheet should contact 01285 623120 and we would be happy to post it to them. We would also welcome any other suggestions from residents to add to our information sheet.”
