VILLAGERS in Bourton-on-the- Hill are revving up for their village fete next month after the brakes were put on last year’s event.
The fete is normally bi-annual but was cancelled in 2013 because the A44 was closed for resurfacing. Organiser Pat Freeman said all the usual attractions will be on offer including a bouncy castle, tombola, bric a brac and refreshments, with St David’s School band providing the entertainment.
She added: “We are hoping for a great turnout this year.”
The event is taking place on Saturday, September 13 from 1pm to 4pm, in the gardens of Bourton House off the A44.
Tickets are £1(under 13s free). Proceeds are for the village hall and church.
