CROWDS flocked to Longborough Primary School fete and enjoyed a host of stalls and entertainment.

The event held in the school gardens on Friday, July 11 raised £500 towards extra curricular activities.

Visitors enjoyed entertainment including face painting, tombola, hook-a-duck, lucky dip, bric a brac, beat the goalie and panning for gold.

The barbecue and bar did a roaring trade and the special demonstration by Moreton Martial Arts group was very popular, with many youngsters joining in.

A highlight of the evening was a flypast by the Red Arrows aerial display team, who were practising for the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford the following day.

Winners of the special raffle were Steven Brady who will experience a hot air balloon flight, and Emma Clark with a magnum of champagne.

Headteacher Claire Fisher brought proceedings to a close by thanking the public and volunteer helpers for their attendance.
