ORGANISERS are gearing up for this year's Summer Festival at Daylesford which promises to be bigger and better than the last.

The free event is taking place on Saturday, May 17 from 10am to 5pm and will offer an insight into the organic farm, near Kingham, with tours and cookery demonstrations from the Cookery School and 'Working Horses'.

Food will be on offer from a range of producers including Rose Prince and the Pocket Bakery, the Great Taste Market and Mark Hix Fish Dogs as well as the Daylesford barbecue andGreat Taste Market.

Attractions will include a special sheep dog demonstration and the chance to taste the produce from the farm.

The North Cotswold Bee Keeping Association will be holding sessions so people can see bees busy at work in the observation hive, learn how wax candles are made and taste varieties of honey.

There will also be live music, dog shows, have a go on the Victorian carousel and swing boats and a straw bale maze.

For the little ones there will be chicks, calves and lambs to hold along with pottery painting, Gifford Circus jugglers and toy tractor or vintage pedal car rides.
