A FEASIBILITY study into the installation of small wind turbines in Shipston is set to be carried out, following a decision by the town council.
In a motion proposed by deputy mayor Philip Vial, five councillors voted in favour with four against at a recent meeting.
Community Energy Warwickshire, a volunteer-run Community Benefit Society, will now apply for a grant from the Rural Community Energy Fund to carry out an initial study into the potential opportunities for community-owned renewable energy generation.
The study will look at whether or not the wind turbines feasible but also whether they would have public support.
