PEOPLE are being asked to have their say on care services in Gloucestershire.
Health and care partners in the county have launched a major engagement exercise 'Joining up your Care' for staff, community partners, service users, carers and the public to comment on major issues including an ageing society, more people living with complex illness and long term conditions, increasing demand for services.
Health and care leaders have outlined ideas on prevention and self care, developing community services and support and joining up services and would like feedback.
The eight-week engagement period and the exercise will include community partner events, public drop in sessions and community visits from the Information Bus.
Drop-in events are being held around the county including in the North Cotwold Hospital, Moreton, on Tuesday, February 11 from 10.30am to 1pm and an information bus event in Market Square, Stow, on Thursday, February 13 from 10am to1pm.
Clinical Chair of NHS Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group, Dr Helen Miller said:
“The NHS and care services are at a major crossroads both in Gloucestershire and across the country.
"We want to go down a road which leads to a sustainable future where we can provide more joined up services wrapped around the patient and safe, high quality specialist services when needed."
