BAD weather and unseasonal snow fall in France has forced the French Market, due to be held in Shipston on Sunday, to be cancelled for the first time ever.
The conditions have made delivering the produce to the market, held in the town twice a year, from France too difficult.
Liz Jaworska, deputy clerk, said: “It is really unfortunate and the first time it has happened.
"The people who run the market say they will look at the dates and see if there is a cancellation, otherwise they will be back here in October this year.”
