STAFF at a Moreton hotel have won a prestigious award for service.
The Manor House Hotel, High Street, was given the most outstanding service gong at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence earlier this month.
Guests of the hotel cast their votes online while the judges also took into account guest surveys and inspector reports.
Since the hotel was hit by floods in 2007 it has gone from strength to strength, after it was awarded a fourth star from the AA within a year of reopening after a 12- month refurbishment.
Simon Stanbrook, general manager, said: “It was something we didn’t expect. It was one of those things we have dreamed of winning for quite a while.
The nice thing about it is it’s an award for the staff.
“It’s all about service and a testament to their hard work over the last 12 years. We’re very proud of what we’ve done.”
