Casualty star Amanda Mealing has confessed she would be scared to come face-to-face with her character Connie Beauchamp.
The 46-year-old actress has played the formidable senior consultant for over 10 years now, first in BBC medical drama Holby City and now in sister show Casualty – but insists she is nothing like her in real life.
Amanda told the TV Times: “I’d be scared of her. She’s never stuck for words, whereas I’m always stuck for words and I trip over furniture. I’m nothing like her.
“I’d be intimidated if she came over for dinner. But if I had to have her around, I’d also invite Holby’s Elliot Hope (Paul Bradley) because he doens’t bite when she snaps.
“I’d also have my good friend Paul O’Grady because I’d like to see those two have a spat and I don’t know who would win. There would be blood!”
