THE National Colmore Cup Motorcycle Trial, held in the Broadway area each February, organised by the Stratford-on-avon MCC, is the oldest national sporting motorcycle trial in the UK.

The event usually starts from Blockley and has incorporated traditional old section locations such as Saintbury Quarry and Weston Wood just above Broadway for more than 65 years.

Next year it is the event’s 100th anniversary so the club are planning some centenary celebrations which will be announced.

But in the meantime they would appreciate anyone who has any old Colmore Cup items such as programmes, route cards to call Alan Wright on (01789) 751422 or John Cart on (01789) 551643.
