EVESHAM United recorded their ninth successive Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West win with a 3-1 victory at Wimborne Town.

The rampant Robins are third in the division after overcoming Wimbourne in rain-soaked conditions.

Evesham broke the deadlock in the 30th minute after a cross was only half cleared by the home defence and Mark McGee pounced to rifle the ball in.

The Robins doubled their lead two minutes after the interval when Adam Mann raced through and drilled a shot past home goalkeeper Pat O’Flaherty.

Paul Collicutt’s men wrapped up the points with just four minutes remaining when Paul Fahy netted with a superb strike. The home side had the final word through Toby Holmes’ consolation goal but it was too little to dampen Evesham’s spirits.

Table-topping Hereford continued their unbeaten run with a comprehensive 4-0 success at basement boys Bridgwater Town at Fairfax Park.

Hereford took an early lead through Mike Symons and the marksman doubled their advantage with a close-range header.

Hereford netted their third goal two minutes into the second period with an excellent strike from Tristan Plummer.

Jamie Molyneux wrapped up the points for the leaders with a goal in the dying seconds.

Malvern Town cemented third place in the West Midlands League Premier Division with an emphatic 8-0 home victory against Willenhall Town.

Dave Reynolds (4), Bryan Craven (2), Adam Sauntson and Nathan Hughes were on target for Malvern.
