EVESHAM United opened pre-season by thrashing a young Forest Green Rovers side 4-0 at the Jubilee Stadium.
Forward Lance Smith bagged a first-half brace before new signing Paul Fahy and Adam Mann completed the victory for the Southern League Division One South and West side over National League opposition.
Smith fired home Mann's pass inside four minutes and then the creator was fouled for a penalty just after the half-hour mark, which was dispatched.
Fahy, signed from Slimbridge, opened his account in the second period and Mann sealed a commanding success ahead of a visit to local rivals Pershore Town tonight (7.45pm).
Evesham first half: Sawyer, Dovey, Harding, Green, Fahy, Stanley, Sheehan, Sloggett (Kennedy 30), Smith, Mann; second half: Sawyer; Dovey, Sysum, Wellon, Prictor; Kennedy, Turley, Williams, Brown; Mann, Fahy. Subs used: Gilder, Lucas, Binns, Pearson.
