AFTER reading your article about the successful opposition to developers demolishing the bus shelter (February 12) I was shocked to read the comments made by Steve Taylor who said that the village of Harvington will remain a village run by old people for old people on a path of decline in a high priced retirement enclave.

Your readers should know that Steve Taylor is one of a number of developers planning to concrete over the green fields around our village to build up to 285 homes.

His plans have been overwhelming rejected by village residents both young and old and show no respect for village life.

If Steve Taylor's plans were to be approved it would be his ideas that would cause the decline of our village, while he would live in a high priced property enclave.
