SIR - Further to the article concerning the BT box put so close to Sally Haste's property in Great Comberton, we also put in a complaint to Worcester Hub about the BT box put her in Main Street, Elmley Castle which we now look out on.
It has been put in a central prominent position and scars the look of the street and we now have two boxes within 25 yards.
It would have only taken a bit of thought and common sense to put the new one together with the original box minimising the effect.
We welcome broadband in the villages but it seems BT can erect these large imposing boxes without any consultation with local residents or Parish Council to find the best position for them.
In this conservation are residents cannot erect signs or alter frontages and yet service companies are able to spoil a beautiful village street at a stroke.
