On behalf of the Pershore Plum Festival committee, I would like to thank everyone who attended and was associated with the grand finale of the award-winning festival.

Despite the wettest bank holiday for almost 30 years, thousands of people donned their raincoats and wellies to enjoy the plum fun that was taking place throughout the town. This year we welcomed visitors from our twin town of Bad Neustadt and coach parties from destinations such as south Devon, Coventry and the West Midlands that had organised tours especially for this event.

Following an incredibly successful month of plum activities and events, which this year included a horse race meeting, a bike meet and plum coach tours when thankfully the weather was kind to us, a relatively small group of passionate volunteers strove to create a bigger and better event than ever before – one that the town, its residents and its businesses would continue to be proud of.

And despite the weather – they succeeded!

Grateful thanks to everyone who supported the event by visiting, exhibiting, sponsoring and working so hard just to make it happen!

See you all again next year?
