A very big thank you, from all of us “of a certain age”, to the contractor working on the Yates Court extension at the rear of the post office in the High Street.
The crane is magnificent. How many hours did we all spend on the kitchen table building our own Meccano crane (albeit on a much smaller scale) all of those years ago?
It has brought back many memories, and makes me smile every time I see it.
Now please pass the nuts, bolts and spanner!
