Worcestershire captain Brett D’Oliveira is to be awarded a testimonial year in 2027 in recognition of his long service to the club.
The 34-year-old has spent his entire 17-year professional career at New Road and will be celebrated throughout next season.
D’Oliveira, club captain, said: "Being awarded a testimonial by Worcestershire is a huge honour and something I’m incredibly grateful for.
"I certainly don’t consider myself a legend of the Club, so to be recognised in this way is incredibly humbling, particularly given the history my family has with Worcestershire."
D’Oliveira made his debut for Worcestershire in 2011 after progressing through the club’s Academy system.
He has made 392 appearances across all formats and was named club captain in 2021.
Recognised as one of Worcestershire’s modern greats, he played key roles in Worcestershire’s Division Two title win in 2017, as well as their T20 Blast victory in 2018 and the Metro Bank One Day Cup triumph in 2025.
Amassing more than 6,900 first-class runs, including 14 centuries and a career-best 202 not out against Glamorgan in 2016, he has had an outstanding red ball career.
Following his dad Damian and grandad Basil, Brett’s 200 meant that the D’Oliveiras are now the first grandfather, father and son to score double centuries in first class cricket.

With more than 4,500 runs and 150 wickets in both List A and T20 cricket, he has proven valuable in all formats, with best white-ball bowling figures of 4-11.
He said: "I still feel I’ve got a lot of cricket left to play and plenty that I want to achieve on the field.
"I’m as passionate about representing Worcestershire as I’ve ever been, and I want to continue contributing to the Club for as long as I possibly can.
“I hope this will be a fun-filled year, not just for me, but for everyone who has been part of my journey.
"It’s an opportunity to celebrate the club, the people who make it such a special place and the supporters who have been there throughout my career."
Worcestershire’s former Club Captain Joe Leach was the most recent player to be awarded a testimonial year in 2024.
Ashley Giles, chief executive of Worcestershire, said: "After 17 years of outstanding service to the County, we are delighted to be able to honour Brett and recognise his contributions both on and off the field at Worcestershire.
"Within the dressing room he has become an influential leader and a high-quality cricketer who has been central to the successes of the team."
Dominic Riley, chair of Worcestershire County Cricket Club, said: "Brett has represented this Club with the utmost distinction throughout some challenging times as well as some incredible highs.
“Everybody associated with the Club is delighted for him and his family.”
