TOM Harding scored and was sent off as Pershore Town tested West Midlands Football League Premier Division leaders Shifnal Town.
The table-toppers eventually won 3-2 thanks to goals from Jay Holdcroft, Kyle Montague and Brad Sharman.
But Pershore led 1-0 at half-time with the goals arriving from forward Harding and Dane Aldington only for the former to see red.
Littleton’s home game with Wednesfield was called off due to a waterlogged Five Acres pitch so they were unable to build on a midweek 1-0 win at lowly Shawbury United.
The victory in Ludlow had arrived courtesy of a goal from centre-half Myles Brooks who headed in Ben Billingham's teasing corner from close range.
The Vale clubs are both at home in the league on Saturday with 10th-placed Littleton entertaining Shifnal and Pershore, who are eighth, hosting local rivals Worcester Raiders (both 3pm).
