MANAGER Carl Abbott admitted the 3-1 defeat at lowly AFC Totton had been his worst day as Evesham United manager.
The high-flying Robins' wings were clipped in Southern League Division One South on Saturday.
Goals from Robin Nicholls after 18 minutes and Silvano Obeng on 33 gave Totton a half-time cushion.
Loan signing Aaron Basford cut the deficit 14 minutes after the restart but Craig Feeney led the hosts home with a late third goal.
Abbott, who replaced Paul Collicutt as boss in the summer, said on Twitter: "Awful day — worst one as Evesham United manager.
"Sorry guys, especially those who made the journey to support. We all feel pig sick. These lads will never cheat you. Short on Saturday but always honest.
"Look forward to getting back out there and putting things right."
Evesham aim to make quick amends at Bideford in the league tonight (7.45pm).
Evesham: Brown, Howard, Maslen-Jones, Paddock, Staten, Cresswell, Tonge, Sangha, Sullivan, O'Neill, Page. Subs: Heywood, Franklin, Childs, Basford.
Attendance: 196.
