VALE team Jones Dorling Racing are celebrating their best overall results following the 2019 season.

The last round of this year's British Superbike Championship at Kent’s Brands Hatch circuit saw Jones Dorling again compete in the Superstock support series.

With rider Ben Godfrey still recovering from suffering a broken leg among other injuries at Donington Park, it was up to Jordan Weaving on the other Suzuki 1000 and Worcester’s Ewan Potter on the Yamaha 600 to finish with some points.

Changeable weather made free practice difficult and then Potter struggled in qualifying with the bike set-up on the drier track.

Once his machine was adjusted the session was red-flagged for an incident with four minutes to go, leaving Potter 26th.

Weaving hoped to repeat his third-place grid position from the last round but could not get in any fast laps due to technical issues and had to make do with 24th.

Potter's 12-lap race started well with him moving up seven positions to 19th by the halfway point.

He pushed hard and knocked a second off his previous lap time to come 18th.

Weaving made up nine places in the first half-a-lap before the race was red-flagged.

It was restarted with original grid positions but Weaving battled up to 14th by lap two.

He then picked off the riders to take the chequered flag in eighth to gain final points.

The team celebrated two podiums for 2019 courtesy of Cameron Fraser and Weaving with their best overall rankings in the championships.
