EVESHAM rowers tackled two long-course events over a total of 24 kilometres on the canal at Gloucester’s autumn head.

Fifteen-year-old junior Liv Evans won both her single and double with Emma Parkin.

The duo beat Totnes by 48 seconds and in the single event there was just six seconds between Evans and third-placed Parkin.

On the shorter course over a total of 7.5km, singles 13-year-old Leah Saunders and club-mate Harriet Empson, 14, sailed to first and second place.

Doubles Martha Bradley and Nelly Ledger just beat team-mates Martha Robbins and Charlie Akerman on the long course by one second.

In the women’s masters coxless quad, club captain Carol Lovelock with Mal Jablonska, Julie Foster and Tracy Goldstraw finished second to a strong composite crew from City of Bristol and Monmouth.
