PERSHORE Swimming Club bagged 18 golds among 52 medals at the Worcester Autumn Open Meet.

A large number of the 38 members, who also clinched 19 silvers and 15 bronzes, got top 10 places with plenty of personal bests and county qualifying times.

In the nine year age group Charlotte Fairchild was first in the 200-metre backstroke while Jessica Cosnett and Fiona Taylor also enjoyed fine swims.

Medallists for the 10 year olds included Tom Porter with silver in the 100m breaststroke and bronze in the 100m individual medley.

Toby Marchant bagged gold in the 100m butterfly and bronze in the 200m breaststroke alongside solid displays from Max Lester, Chelsea Pullen, Aleksandra Kelly and Hannah Webley.

In the 11 year group Lottie Styler was third in the 100m butterfly and Emma Taylor finished first in the 200m freestyle while Mia Underwood achieved second in the 50m backstroke and third in the 200m backstroke and 100m backstroke.

The 12 year old girls dominated with Millie Thomas first in the 400m individual medley and 200m backstroke, second in the 200m freestyle and third in the 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly.

Natalija Kelly was first in the 50m and 100m butterfly, 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke and second in the 100m individual medley, 50m freestyle and 50m backstroke.

Charlie Deary, Tally Brown, Ioan Underwood, Jack Porter, Teagan Cosnett, Toby Stanley, Jessica Barnes, Zoe Barnes, Philippa Taylor and Philippa Fairchild also impressed.

Thirteen year medallists were Catherine Rendall-Baker with silver in the 100m butterfly, Ethan Stanley with third in the 200m backstroke and Kian Baker with second in the 50m and 100m backstroke and 50m butterfly and third in the 50m and 200m freestyle, 100m and 200 individual medley and 100m butterfly.

Also swimming were George Howard, Josh Lester, Martha Cross and Andrew Thorner.

In the 15 to 16 year age group Caitlin Yates achieved silver in the 50m breaststroke, Leo Rendall-Baker gold in the 200m butterfly and Alex Barry first in the 200m breaststroke and 200m backstroke, second in the 100m breaststroke, 200m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley and third in the 50m breaststroke.

Emily Drayton got top 10 places in most of her races.
