LITTLETON have raided league rival to try to add the ruthless streak boss Tyrone Henderson is after.

The Ton Boys have signed Black Country Rangers striker Adam Garmson, scorer of five goals in four outings already this term.

It follows Henderson's assertion that Littleton should be boasting maximum points from their opening four West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division fixtures.

They left it late to turn that tally into seven on Saturday with Ben Billingham's last-ditch double turning the tide to trump Shawbury United 2-1.

“He has been the difference to be honest," said Henderson.

“We were the better side but couldn’t put the ball in the net, it was the same the week before but he stepped up in those left five minutes to win the game.

“Ben doesn’t panic whereas some of the younger players are lashing at things, rushing them.

“When I said about wanting to win the league in pre-season people jumped all over me, asking what I had said it for but I think we should have 12 points now and would have if we had that goalscorer.

“We drew with Wolves Casuals who finished third last season and they did not have a shot on target. We didn’t put the ball in the net and that’s our problem at the minute."

Henderson revealed he had moved for Garmson but did not anticipate completing the deal before the weekend but this morning (Thursday) the club announced it had gone through.

Attentions turn to cup action tomorrow (Friday, 7.45) when Littleton head to GNP Sports in the FA Vase first qualifying round.

“Everything is going well and Friday is a big opportunity for us," said Henderson.

“The team spirit is brilliant, you would think they had been together for ages. We have brought together four or five different groups but they have all clicked.

"It will be tough, GNP Sports have done well to come through the leagues and I watched them personally against Studley on Monday.

“It is a good chance to build the profile of the club and get some money in the coffers.”
