EVESHAM Golf Club seniors’ section held their annual championships.

The competition was held over two rounds and the club champion with the lowest gross score was Paul Osgood who claimed the Diffin Trophy.

The winner of the lowest nett score Colin Hussell secured the Wilson Jug.

Meanwhile, an 85-point haul secured victory in the Broadway lady captain’s day competition for Irene Hawkes.

Teams of three competed with Camilla Haines, Louise Folkes and Lynda Newbery claiming the honours.

Second with 80 were Pat Righton, Linda Carruthers and Beccie Williams ahead of Rachel Rigg, Bridget Lewis and Kim Lockyear on countback.

The best score over the final six holes was by Rita Smith, Juliet Enderby and Isobella Lates with 38. Nearest the pins were won by Molly King-Smith on the fifth, Angela Sollis on the eighth and Carruthers on the 13th.

Broadway’s men were tested by gale-force winds in their medal.

Callum Millard won Division One with 70 nett and also achieved lowest gross with 77. Paul Whelan finished in second place with 74 in front of Richard Rouse on countback.

Andrew Fisher topped Division Two with 70 from Peter Cockle on countback from Graham Medley with both on 73.
