Anticipation is building ahead of the new Southern League season after the fixtures for the 2019/20 campaign were released yesterday.

BetVictor Southern Premier Central teams Bromsgrove Sporting, Redditch United and Alvechurch will all kick-off their seasons on Saturday, August 10, whereas Southern Division One South side Evesham United start a week later due to FA Cup preliminary round involvement.

Newly-promoted Bromsgrove start with a home match against Biggleswade Town, before their first away fixture on Tuesday, August 13 against Tamworth.

Fixtures for fans to look out for include Stourbridge away on the late August Bank Holiday Monday and at home on New Year's Day, as well as a Boxing Day visit to Alvechurch.

Other matches of note include those against neighbours Redditch United, at home on Saturday, November 9 and away on Saturday, March 14.

Alvechurch kick-off the season with a trip to Royston Town before the first home game of the campaign sees Barwell visit Lye Meadow on Tuesday, August 13.

Church will face Redditch United on New Year's Day and end the season with a home game against Lowestoft on April 25.

Redditch begin with a home game against Banbury United, before travelling to Rushall Athletic on Tuesday, August 13.

Their opening fixtures also include games against Needham Market and Lowestoft Town. The season comes to an end for Redditch on April 25 against Leiston.

Meanwhile, Evesham United and their new manager Carl Abbott open with a home game against Paulton Rovers.

Their opening five fixtures are made up of Larkhall, Slimbridge, Sholing and Frome.

They have a home fixture against Cirencester on Boxing Day and are also at home on the final day of the season against Moneyfields.
