PERSHORE Tennis Centre’s Imogen Looker has won the Midlands LTA’s regional young person of the year award.
Looker, who has been playing at the club since the age of four, had already won the Herefordshire and Worcestershire version.
She is now also a coach at the centre alongside being club singles champion for the past five years.
Looker turns out for the women's A team and her county while coaching for six hours per week despite being diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome (ME).
Centre head coach Steve Bauer said: “Imogen is hard-working, loyal and a credit to all involved at Pershore.
"From representing the county to ladies’ club teams, Imogen's contribution as a young person is exceptional and we are very proud that she should be recognised for this by both the Herefordshire and Worcestershire LTA and the Midlands LTA as well.”
The 30 national finalists depart on the road to Wimbledon next month.
