WORCESTER swimmers are heading to the British and Home Nations Championships this summer.

Paralympian silver medallist Rebecca Redfern, who qualifies as a para-swimmer, will be joined by Louis Doyle, Will Gearey and three relay teams as among the fastest 24 in their events to be invited to the British Summer Championships in Glasgow.

The relay swimmers are Josie Armstrong, Heather Castle, Olivia Fletcher, Jenny Gearey, Charlotte Hall, Madeleine Hoare, Tabby Monkhouse and Redfern.

Redfern also goes forward to the English Championships in Sheffield, qualifying as an able-bodied swimmer along with Lauren Annis, Aaron Cooke, Doyle and Will Gearey.

Jess Dobson, Natasha Dobson, Fletcher and Henry Halford have made the Welsh Championships in Swansea.

The British competition is from July 23 until 28, the Welsh contest from July 29 until August 2 and the English event from July 31 until August 4.
