WESTFIELDS manager Andy Bevan has resigned with immediate effect.

Bevan had been offered revised terms since the club finished the season 4th in the Midland Football League, but the club say he was 'unable to accept the terms'.

Westfields lifted the Herefordshire FA County Challenge Cup, comfortably seeing off Pegasus Juniors in the final after knocking Hereford out earlier in the season.

A club spokesperson said: "Westfields Football Club would like to place on record our thanks to Andy Bevan who has had three and a half years at the club in which time he guided us, along with the other management team, through to the First Round Proper of the FA Cup and this season finished in a creditable 4th position and won the Herefordshire County Senior Challenge Cup."

Other members of the management team, namely Phil Glover and Paul Willetts, will remain with the club and the manager's position will now be reviewed.
